I am on a ROLL! It's so good to finally finish one piece and not have to wait a million years to put together something worth while. I'm not sure how long my luck will last, but I do plan on starting the next page after I put this up.

BUT YES, this story doesn't belong to me, I've just wanted to manga-tize it out of boredom. Actually, the truth is I was playing OoT again for the first time in YEARS and was reminded of this fic and was compelled to finally sit down and draw some scenes from it.

The fic I'm talking about is :iconka-rose:'s masterpiece, Legend of Zelda: The Return. This is the first scene--Link spazzing out and having a nightmare.

I had to take a lot of liberties to try and get this to flow better (and faster), but I'm not sure if it quite worked? It's hard putting a trippy scene from words into pictures when the narrative is SO important. Either you clutter up the empty space with words or you omit as much as you can and hope for the best. I couldn't find the happy medium between those two, but it's been Din knows how long since I put together a comic page XD It's just kinda funny because now it looks like Link just has an irrational fear of ripples.

Also, I had way too much fun drawing Link in several different shades of immense pain :> And! Not too bad a Ganny for my first try, eh? Eh?

I can't think of a witty signature at this time. Please try again later.

Wow, that fanfic is intense! And your interpretation of it is awesome, the pictures fit perfectly with the dream description. I especially like the way you did the ripple and Link's expressions. c: I have to read the rest of this now!

OMG this is incredible! It gives the fanfic justice! The dream is such a big part of the story and you represented it perfectly! I can wait to see more. Keep up the great work! :w00t: :+fav:

The world may throw it's worst at me and push me to the ground, but I'm going to get back up and keep fighting for those I love.

I love the second panel of his face, the deer in headlights is given a whole new meaning :D

and I love you so much! The Return is the best LoZ fanfic EVER! I just wish she could update the squeal :( though I understand why she hasn't.

Ooh, love it! I really enjoyed reading that fanfiction as well, and I only started with it cause I saw the artwork you did on it a while ago, so I have to thank you for that too.
But yeah, the expressions are portrayed really well in this. Well done!

I like seeing visual with that passage! Without the visual I found it - not hard to follow, as in unclear, but hard to follow all the same, in a different way. Love the visual, great expressions!

I wonder why people love so much to draw Link in pain xD Great job!
:iconmudora:
Why is drawing Link in immense pain so much fun? I'm not sure either. These turned out pretty nicely didn't they? Ah the Return... the memories.

Seriously, really nice drawing's there blu. I was itching to do more Zelda Return/ Reconcilations art myself one of these days. The new Zelda for the Wii that they mentioned at this years e3 made me go balistic. XD.

TO MY FAVES!
