I'm totally digging myself a grave--so many people responded to the last 'meme', I'm afraid to post my next one. Just--If I don't get to you, here or on the last one? It's not cuz I don't love you, or think what you said sucked. It's cuz it's the last week of camp over here and my mind is all over the place. I'll try picking at them here and there, but no promises.

BUT ENOUGH OF THAT--Onto the main attraction;

I know this is a very limited topic, considering there are only a hand full of villains, but even if you think you'll just end up saying what's already been said? Do it anyways. You'll come up with something new.

Again, you don't have to follow these word for word. You can just ramble about your favorite villain, I really don't care! These are just prompts. You can answer all but one of them, it's cool.

And again, your opinion is perfectly valid, and I won't be cool with anyone telling you otherwise, so don't feel like you can't share it because it might be unpopular in our dinky lil' fandom.

Gonna answer my own question now so, again, this could be long, so skip if you wanna.

My favorite Jak villain is Baron Praxis.

What I find creepy about him and what I find hilarious about him both come from the bulletin things lining the street. Any time he's talking DIRECTLY to Jak? CREEPY AS HELL. Actually, ANY time he used that tone of voice, be it the scene after MT!Kor talks to him in the throne room or any of those little voice recordings. Freaking Scary. But at the same time? Some of those announcements are just INANE to the MAX. Like--like the ones about sending your pet Lurker in for conditioning or something.

That always made me wanna draw some Haven woman with one of those Lurker!Puppies you can punt around in the first game. Killing those things always made me feel like such a bad person...

ANYWAYS, uh, YES. Praxis was very successful villain. He was actually a wonderful sub-plot against the 'real' villain of the Metal Head Leader. It's hard to tell which was 'really' the villain, I know, and we DO spend most of the game after Praxis and not Kor, but without Kor? Praxis would have never been put in the position he was that made him into a tyrant. So who's the worse evil here?

That brings me to the next question; is Praxis evil? Nope. He's just wrong. He's oh so VERY Wrong. He wins the Villain award for DOING IT WRONG. But he's not evil. He's trying to protect his people from what he thinks are true evil, and he's right. He just has no clue how to be Damas about it. He put protection before those who he was, uh, PROTECTING. Save the city...but screw the people. Doing. It. Wrong.

And those are who he hurt the worst; the people of Haven. Especially the slummers. It REALLY sucks to be them. And on that strain, whoever used to live in Old Sandover. You can just TELL it used to be this beautiful place and...pfft. Gone now. And it wasn't just sacrificing people's lives--he was sacrificing people's futures. I doubt there's a library in Haven. Or a museum. Ever wonder why Krew 'used' to be an art collector? Most of line of Mar has been wiped away to make way for Praxis. I bet you.

I'm sure Praxis did good, though. In my fanon--and this has been a recent development, actually--the 'last great attack on the Metal Head Nest' wasn't led by him, but by Damas. And it FAILED. And he lost most of his FACE. He thought, you know, DAMAS was doing it wrong. So he overthrew his butt, and he couldn't have done it alone. I'm sure he started out strong, too. So some good had to be done. It just, you know, went downhill fast.

Jak...well, we all know he wants to kill Baron Praxis. It's, uh, HIS FIRST LINE EVER besides grunting and adorkable giggling. Praxis ruined his life--made him into something to be ashamed of and introduced him to EROL. Oooh Erol. I'm sure one of you will pick him. But yeah, Jak no likey the Praxis, and he's got every right not to. They've got a very twisted relationship, him and blondie--almost parental in nature. Praxis created the Jak in Jak II, and while Jak becomes his own person eventually on into the end of the game into the next, he's never the Jak from TPL again. And Praxis takes pride in that. Jak is his hope for the future--his weapon pride-and-joy, and I'm sure Jak knows it. He's the typical rebelling teenager, really...

Oh, and in conclusion?

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN EVERYONE WHO DIDN'T PICK PRAXIS FOR THEIR FAVORITE CHARACTER, INCLUDING MYSELF DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD<
